Water Utility Repair 391 Concord Road (Potential Water Outage 377-427 Concord Road and Whitehall Circle)

Thursday, July 6th
8 am – 3 pm (approximately)

Water Utility Repair Location:
391 Concord Road

Potential Outage Location:
377-427 Concord Road
Whitehall Circle

Outage Duration Estimate:
7 Hours

Reason for Outage:
Water Utility Leak Repair

Please Be advised: A water utility leak repair is scheduled on Thursday, July 6th at 391 Concord Road. It may be necessary to temporarily suspend water service on Concord Road (between Candy Hill Road and Plympton Road) and Whitehall Circle allowing for the repair. Water outage duration is  estimated to be 7 hours (8 am – 3 pm.) Homes and businesses located on Concord Road (between Candy Hill Road and Plympton Road) and Whitehall Circle should plan to be without water during this period.

Those in close proximity to this area of town may experience fluctuating pressure (air in pipes) or discolored water (mineral sediment lifting from the bottom of the pipes and traveling with the water-flow inside the main.) Running your water after the repair is complete from a cold tap briefly will assist in clearing your service line of air and minerals. Is the water safe to drink? Slight discoloration may sometimes linger for a few hours, it is not harmful to your health and only temporarily affects the appearance of the water, it does not influence water quality. Water conditions typically improve overnight.

Preparing for a planned water outage:

  • Fill pots on the stove with water for cooking
  • Fill a couple of buckets with water for washing
  • Fill potable water containers for drinking (assume about one gallon of drinking water per person per day)
  • Fill bathtubs with water and use buckets to flush toilets, a toilet will flush when approximately a gallon of water is dumped into the bowl

During a Water Outage:

  • Try not to operate water faucets, dishwashers, or washing machines. This will prevent air from entering your plumbing.
