The Massachusetts Firefighting Academy located at 1 State Road, Stow (Route 27) will be conducting their annual Fire Alarm and Fire Pump test today at (approx.) 12 noon.
How will this effect you? Water conditions, specifically homes and businesses in close proximity to this area (including but not limited to Hudson Road and the Lakes area) may notice a temporary drop in pressure or experience discolored water which is normal during testing and should subside overnight. Even though testing may not be directly on your street, connecting streets COULD experience some, all, or none of the same affects as that of the actual test location. Avoid drawing in mineral sediment by limiting water intake today between the hours of 12 noon and 2 p.m. Running a cold tap for a short period of time after 2 pm today will assist in clearing your service line of minerals.
