Level 2 Mandatory Non-Essential Outdoor Water Restriction

Level 2 Mandatory Non-essential Outdoor Water Use Restriction has been implemented.   Nonessential outdoor water use is allowed one (1) day per week, before 9 am or after 5pm, according to street address:

Street addresses ending with an even number such as 0, 2, 4,6 and 8 may water on Saturday before 9 am or after 5 pm.  Street addresses ending with an odd number such as 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 may water on Sunday before 9 am or after 5 pm.

The restriction is a regulatory requirement from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, as well as an effort to ensure that an adequate supply of water is available for sustainability and fire protection.   Violation of the District’s Water Restriction policy may result in a fine and/or loss of water service.  Private well users are also encouraged to follow the water restriction guidelines.

Further information regarding the Water Use Restriction guidelines please contact our office at (978) 443-6602.
