ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Sudbury Water District requests sealed bids for construction of a 2,000 square foot PFAS treatment facility to supplement the existing Raymond Road Water Treatment Facility. Bids will be received at Weston & Sampson Headquarters, located at 55 Walkers Brook Drive, Suite 100, Reading, MA until 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
The scope of work includes: Installation of four 12-foot diameter filter vessels each equipped with 30,000 pounds of granular activated carbon (GAC) for poly- and per-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) treatment, associated piping/valving/instrumentation, an approximately 2,000 square foot structure, site improvements, electrical systems, and a sodium thiosulfate feed system. All equipment shall be furnished by the Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating delivery of the filter vessels, offloading/placement/installation of equipment, and start-up/testing of the system.
Estimated construction cost: $ 3,500,000
