Emergency Water Main Repair, Woodside Road at the intersection of Alta Road

Update to water main break on Woodside Road –

The major main break on Woodside Road on Sunday, February 13th was one of the most impactful main breaks the District has had to repair in recent history in terms of number of people affected, the lengths of pipe damaged, having to deal with old valves to isolate the area, the amount of water lost, decreases in system pressure as tank elevations dropped, and adverse weather conditions.

The District’s field crew, supplemented with one of the District’s on-call utility contractors, worked almost 24 hours non-stop through the day and night, replacing the pipe and critical valves.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Outage Location:
Woodside Road (between the intersections of Warren Road and Landham Road), Alta Road, Lettering Circle, Cutler Farm Road, and Read Road

Outage Duration Estimate: 11 hours (9:15 am – 8:15 pm approx)

Please Be advised: An emergency water main repair is underway on Woodside Road at the intersection of Alta Road. Water service on Woodside Road (between the intersections of Warren Road thru to Landham Road), Alta Road, Lettering Circle, Cutler Farm Road, and Road Road will be temporarily suspended allowing for repair. Outage duration is a best-estimate based on past emergency events it is not an exact time. Please make arrangements to be without water during this period. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we work hard to restore water service to this area as quickly as possible.

What to expect once water is restored? Those in close proximity to this area of town may experience fluctuating pressure (air in pipes) or discolored water (mineral sediment lifting from the bottom of the pipes and traveling with the water-flow inside the main.) Once water is restored running a cold tap briefly will assist in clearing your service line of air and minerals.
