Please be advised: On Thursday, April 23rd, a water utility repair is scheduled on Dakin Road, during the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM. During this time, water service on Dakin Road from the intersection of Paddock Way to the Sudbury/Concord townline will be temporarily suspended allowing for repair work. Water service is anticpated to be restored by 5 PM. Outage duration is a best estimate based on past water infrastructure repair work, it is not an exact time. Please plan accordingly.

As with any underground utility infrastructure work, unforeseen conditions may arise and could impact a larger area than anticipated, if this happens, we will post updates here, and make all reasonable efforts to keep affected residents informed of any changes.
What to Expect
Residents and businesses in or near the affected area may experience:
- Temporary low water pressure.
- Air in plumbing lines.
- Discolored water (caused by mineral sediment lifting from the bottom of the main and traveling with the flow of water).
After Water Service is Restored
Open a large cold-water tap (such as a bathtub faucet) and let it run until the water runs clear and no air is heard escaping, this process flushes out trapped air and mineral sediment from your private service line.
Water Quality Information
Slight discoloration may persist for a few hours following restoration. This condition is not harmful and does not affect water safety or quality, only appearance. Water typically clears and returns to normal overnight.
Preparing for a Water Outage
- Fill pots with water for cooking.
- Fill buckets with water for cleaning or washing.
- Store drinking water (approximately one gallon per person per day).
- Fill bathtubs with water for toilet flushing (pour about one gallon directly into the bowl).
