The Sudbury Water District will be performing scheduled water utility repair work at 102 Goodman’s Hill Road on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Work is scheduled to begin at approximately 8:00 a.m. and will continue throughout the day until all necessary repairs have been completed.

  • No vehicular traffic will be permitted through the work zone during construction activities.
  • Motorists should follow all posted detour signage and plan for additional travel time.
  • School transportation officials have been notified of the detour and anticipated temporary traffic impacts.

WATER SERVICE

  • Water service to 102 Goodman’s Hill Road will be temporarily suspended while repair work is underway.
  • No interruption of water service is anticipated for surrounding areas.
  • While every effort will be made to complete this work without affecting neighboring properties, underground utility work can be unpredictable despite careful planning.
  • In the event unforeseen conditions require a larger service area to be temporarily suspended, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice to affected customers whenever possible.
  • Updates regarding this work, including any service impacts, will be posted here.

EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM
To receive timely project updates, service interruption notices, and other emergency communications, customers are encouraged to sign up for the Town-wide Emergency Notification System.

Those enrolled in the notification system are among the first to receive important information regarding utility projects, emergency conditions, and public safety matters.

PREPARING FOR A POSSIBLE SERVICE INTERRUPTION
Although a service interruption is not expected, customers may wish to take the following precautions:

  • Store an adequate supply of drinking water (approximately one gallon per person per day).
  • Fill containers with water for cooking and food preparation.
  • Store water for cleaning and sanitation needs.
  • Fill bathtubs or other large containers with water for toilet flushing. If necessary, approximately
    one gallon of water poured directly into the toilet bowl will initiate a flush.
