Level 2 Mandatory Outdoor Water Use Restriction

Streamflow Triggered (7-Day Low Flow)

Nonessential outdoor water use is allowed, before 9 AM and after 5 PM, One (1) day per week, based on the last digit of your street address and designated water use day:

  • Before 9 AM and After 5 PM;
  • One (1) Day Per Week (in accordance with the designated water use day);
  • EVEN = SATURDAY
  • ODD = SUNDAY

The Sudbury Water District encourages private well users to voluntarily follow these nonessential outdoor water use restrictions in support of regional water conservation efforts and the protection of local water resources.

In compliance with the MassDEP Water Management Act (M.G.L. c. 21G) Permit No. 9P-3-14-288.01 once the USGS streamglow gage No. 01099500 Concord River below River Meadow Brook (Lowell, MA) falls below the assigned threashold of 71 cubic feet per second (cfs) for three (3) consecutive days, streamflow restrictions are implemented and shall shall remain in place until streamflow at the gage meets or exceeds 71 cfs for seven (7) consecutive days. The Sudbury Water District will monitor the daily streamflow (average discharge) at the assigned gage, and adjust restriction levels accordingly.
