Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 111, §§ 160–160A and the Massachusetts Drinking Water Regulations, 310 CMR 22.00, the Board of Water Commissioners serves as the governing body of the Sudbury Water District and is responsible for ensuring that the District’s public water system has the technical, managerial, and financial capacity necessary to comply with all applicable drinking water regulations. In fulfilling these responsibilities, the Board provides the leadership, oversight, and resources necessary to operate, maintain, and sustain the public water supply system, from source to tap, in a safe, reliable, and financially sustainable manner.
