Following an emergency pipe repair water has been restored to Prides Crossing Road, Jack Pine Drive and Red Oak Path Drive.
In an effort to lessen mineral sediment impact, area hydrant flushing is underway. Although these efforts will reduce sediment amount, it is unlikely all traces will be removed. Homes and businesses in close proximity to this area may experience discolored water. Running a cold faucet will help clear mineral sediment from your household plumbing. Always avoid washing laundry when water is noticeably discolored.
Is the water safe to drink? Slight discoloration may sometimes linger for a few hours, it is not harmful to your health and only temporarily affects the appearance of the water, it does not influence water quality. Water conditions typically improve overnight.
